A Look At The Ford Ranger Raptor

The 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor was just released in Europe, and now there’s pretty sound speculation that this “baby” Raptor will make its way to the United States. Some automotive journalists have spotted Ford Ranger Raptors on American streets with a left-hand drive, all but signaling that the Ranger Raptor will be available to American consumers in the near future.

But what can this baby brother to the Ford F-150 Raptor actually do? It’s a question that has been getting some answers in recent months as videos surface showing the capabilities of Ford Europe’s Ford Ranger Raptor.

And if Europe’s Ford Ranger Raptor is any indication, the U.S. is poised to get an off-road midsize pickup truck that can handle all types of terrain, big and small.

One of the first glimpses the world got at Europe’s Raptor was a clip from the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed where professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. got his hands on the wheel of the Ford Ranger Raptor. The off-road pickup made a massive entrance, leaping over hay bales and showing off the Rangor Raptor’s Fox Racing Shocks.

Take a look:

The more impressive performance of the new Ford Ranger Raptor can be seen in a video from Ford Europe, which demonstrates the speed, suspension and handling of Ford’s midsize performance pickup.

The Raptor can be seen driving, drifting and powering through a dirt track where Ford’s engineering is really put to the test. The result is an incredible video showcasing what the Ford Ranger Raptor is capable of… with a surprise waiting at the end.

The Ford Ranger Raptor is shaping up to be an incredible vehicle, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this Raptor will surface on U.S. lots in the near future.
