So what did they miss? They missed an assembly of Ford cars which is one of America's finest and oldest automobile companies in the world and one that never needed a bailout!

But they quickly realized this and here you are. But what happened before this is also equally important so let us begin from the start. Ford was in talks with ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Counter) however that did not go well in the books and reports surfaced that the automaker has bailed out on a fossil fuel friendly organization.

Ford however chose to go with LEGO instead and the official announcement was made back in January during the iconic North American International Auto Show that took place in Detroit. Ford and LEGO have partnered up to develop Ford LEGO kits that will help you assemble the legendary Ford pickup truck: the F-150. To add more flavor to the imagination, here is more good news, the dynamic duo will be working on to release multiple different kits allowing you more room for experimenting with the F-150.

Now you can make your own dynamic pick-up truck. Perhaps you can make one even better than the Ford design team can! Now your children can be little Ford engineers before they even take their first engineering class.

This is a match made in heaven. Two iconic companies working together for the benefit of children.

LEGO Group

LEGO group have been long supporting the climate cause and have been a strong supporter for a very long time. Ford has successfully showed its support for a healthy climate by adapting to several eco-friendly technologies over the past decade and has been gaining accolades from critics and fans alike for their numerous breakthroughs and awards.

LEGO had had its own fallout recently when they decided not to renew its partnership with Royal Dutch Shell in order to manufacture LEGO Shell station kits. Rumors went off that there was public pressure. However, LEGO came up with a very different public statement.

Other steps that the company has taken in the more recent past is them launching a series of small kits based on different environmental themes from Asia. They also had a corporate culture that invested heavily in supply chain responsibility as well as clean sources of energy.

The Koch Brothers on the other hand have been heavily invested in ALEC. Charles and David are known as the public faces behind the company who are the second generation in their family owned business.

Millions of dollars have been invested by the Koch Brothers in not only ALEC, but also other fossil fuel friendly legislators' political campaigns which in turn supported their family business and to help America get off Middle Eastern oil. This led the Rolling Stones to calling them a "toxic empire". But the Rolling Stone is a controversial US magazine at best since they promoted terrorism by putting Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on their front cover. He was one of the Boston Marathon bombing murderers. So Rolling Stone does not have too much credibility.

LEGO on the other hand is a household name and has a reputation to protect. This is where Ford comes in and for good. If Ford does not want to work with ALEC, that is fine. Both are outstanding organizations.

Ford Automobiles

Ford and LEGO are not the only major corporations in America who have decided to disassociate themselves from ALEC but that is another story. But Ford wants people to buy their SUVs and that is dependent on cheaper fuel and everyone knows that. Moreover though, Ford on the other hand, as we discussed, has successfully positioned itself as a major player in the field of renewable and reusable ecofriendly technologies. This is wonderful but Ford knows SUV and pick-up sales are doing better because of low fuel costs and that is because of oil shale. Ford is smart since they are working on selling vehicles that do not depend solely on cheap fuel prices.

This just means good news for fans of Ford and LEGO since any time two amazing companies team up, there will only be positive results. Coca Cola also joined hands with Ford to develop bio based plastic so that the auto manufacturer can use it in their car seats thereby reducing their carbon footprint.

Fans are waiting with baited breath for the new F-150 powered LEGO kits so they can start playing with them or buy them for their collective hobby.
