Supercars are a lot different today than they used to back in the 2000s. Supercars are nowadays a hybrid with a lot of carbon fiber in it. They could arguably be one of the cleanest cars on the planet and yet, they are being regulated instead of The Fed and how much debt America is piling on itself. There is a case to be made here and a good one too.
Extremely Efficient
These super cars built by manufacturers that specialize in the art of automobile engineering spread next to little pollution. These supercars are built to perfection and in limited numbers, mostly in the hundreds.
Even if they are not clean, just for the sake of argument, the numbers are so small that it would hardly make any difference to global warming or air pollution. Not everyone can afford a super car, can they? On top of this, the science changes on global warming anyway and top of this, earth’s temperature has been fluctuating for millions of years. Does human kind have anything to do with earth’s temperature? Now back to the innovations of supercars.
Future Possibilities
Maybe these super cars are being regulated because they represent the future? The advanced technology that is being used in the production and manufacturing of these cars, could it be available to the public in a decade's time? In other words, could the price of making this type of car fall so a normal person could afford it? The price would have to come down considerable if America’s recession is still in effect even years from now.
Not everyone could afford a mobile phone twenty five years ago. They were expensive and call rates were high enough to cost an arm and a leg. It's a different story now. Technology has a funny way of making its way into everyday people's lives. These supercars are leading the industry and are game changers in terms in how efficiently they operate. They are slowly changing the way we think about cars and automobile technology.
But for the normal American trying to pay their bills, spending more money on a car on some flimsy idea as human made global warming is not worth it to them.
Argument
Why are everyday normal cars not being regulated? They are built for the masses and have filled up the roads. They also tend to lead the pack when it comes to emission levels. These everyday cars that are well within the reach of the normal salary person and put more pollution than high performance sports cars. But again, the pollution they put out is not that bad since everyone is breathing fine. In certain cities in India and China the air quality is bad but what you can do? Can we make supercars that cost $15,000?
It would be very easy for the regulatory body to let go of all these regulations on super cars, allow them to do whatever they want, and be done with it. Why don’t we leave super cars alone? Super cars are not the problem. The cars being built for the masses are the ones caused a lot of problems in densely packed cities? How come these urban centers in China and India do not demand that cleaner cars should be sold to their citizens? Well, because it costs more money to build a car that runs so efficiently.
Most people would not be able to afford this car. As we see right now, super cars are only bought by wealth people.
Corporate Dishonesty
Maybe there are other angles like politics and cash that are involved in here. After the whole VW fiasco and how they messed up with fake certificates, it is not so difficult to understand what is going on behind the curtains. So we are now back to square one and don’t know in which direction we should move.
What do you think should be done? Do we even know the forces behind earth’s temperature rise? It is important to understand that there are factors that are well beyond our understanding and control at play here. Some of these countries simply have too many people. How a car operates is beside the point.
Confused? Don’t worry, just step on the pedal and go about your way.
