The United States has recently seen a pair of hurricanes that devastated Texas and Florida on the southern coast. Hurricanes Harvey and Irma made their landfall at the end of August and the beginning of September, one following closely behind the other. The combination of fierce wind and torrents of rain left many people homeless, with massive exoduses occurring before both storms.

Both of the hurricanes left significant damage in their wake. In fact, it’s hard to tell just how much destruction the storms caused. The loss of a home is unfathomable. However, companies and individuals across the nation are doing their part to help those afflicted by the storm. Ford, its employees, and its dealers are doing their part in this process.

Ford’s biggest contribution to the relief effort comes in the form of financial aid. The company is donating up to $3.5 million to organizations to help victims of Harvey, as they are matching their dealer contributions. Ford will also match their dealer and employee donations up to $150,000 to help the victims of Irma.

Additionally, Ford is offering a way for victims of the storm to purchase a new car. They have started two customer assistance bundles, “Texas Is Family” and “Florida Is Family”. This allows them to purchase vehicles at the rates that Ford employees receive, as well as putting payments off until next year.

Only time will tell the full extent of Harvey and Irma’s damage. For now, companies like Ford do what they can to help those affected by the storms.
