The new Ford Mustang GT3 will be making its worldwide debut this year on the track, and Ford has assembled an impressive lineup of drivers to get it there. Four drivers had already been announced: Joey Hand, Dirk Müller, Harry Tincknell and Mike Rockenfeller. Now, another five impressive names have been added to the roster: Ben Barker, Chris Mies, Dennis Olsen, Andy Priaulx and Frédéric Vervisch.

Mies and Vervisch will be driving the new Ford Performance Mustang GT3 at Daytona International Speedway in preparation for the Rolex 24, which will also be taking place at Daytona next month. At the Rolex 24, multiple drivers will be hitting the track as part of the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team, with Mies joining Tincknell and Rockenfeller in the #64 Mustang and Vervisch joining Hand and Müller in the #65.

This event at Daytona will be the new Mustang GT3’s introduction to the world stage. Since this coming year marks the Mustang’s 60th anniversary, it’s especially noteworthy. Six out of seven continents of the world will see the GT3 at events on legendary tracks, including Le Mans and Interlagos.

These nine experienced drivers will be taking the GT3 to events around the world, including the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IMSA), GT World Challenge Europe (GTWCE), the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Other events later in 2024 are still being planned for the race car.

“This is such an important and special year for Mustang – it will celebrate its 60th anniversary and we take Mustang racing globally,” said Mark Rushbrook, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsports. “To take an icon like Mustang racing, we need a line-up of the best and most experienced GT racers, and our nine sports car factory drivers represent just that.”

“Together with our partners at Multimatic Motorsports and our first customer teams Proton Competition and Dinamic GT, we are ready to take on the best in the world at the most iconic race circuits. I can’t wait to get started at Daytona in January.”
