When an organization like Kelley Blue Book signs off on a car with their seal of approval, you know you can trust that it’s a quality vehicle. That’s why every year they release their Best Buy awards, an award series that helps prospective car shoppers determine which vehicles in a particular model year are the ones that really stand out from the crowd. It’s a prestigious award for a vehicle to earn, and this year, Ford didn’t just take home one Best Buy award, but four!
The 2024 Ford Maverick won the award for Best Compact Truck, and the 2024 Ford F-150 won for Best Full-Size Truck. The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning took home the Best Electric Truck award, and the 2024 Ford Expedition was given the Best Full-Size SUV award.
The Ford F-150, which is in its tenth straight year as the reigning Best Full-Size Truck Buy, “continues to exceed buyers’ expectations,” according to Kelley Blue Book. The Maverick was described as “[providing] light-duty pickup goodness in an attractive package with multiple personalities,” and the Expedition as “[boasting] things you would not expect from a full-size SUV.” The groundbreaking F-150 Lightning also received a glowing review along with its award, with Keller Blue Book stating that it takes “convenience to new heights by providing in-bed [Pro Power Onboard], allowing you to cook on the go with a powered-up crockpot en route to your in-laws.”
It’s no small feat putting together the Best Buy awards every year. The teams at Kelley Blue Book analyze a major set of vehicle data, including pricing, consumer reviews and ratings, five-year cost to own information, depreciation, insurance, maintenance, financing, fuel, fees and taxes for new cars, consumer reviews, ratings, and vehicle sales information.
