Before the F-150 Lightning, running HFX e-Scooters previously meant a lot of work for Rastelli– he had to haul his scooters to a central hub in Halifax to charge them, taking up a lot of energy and time. Even when using swappable, rechargeable batteries in his scooters, the central charging hub didn’t have enough power to charge them all at once, posing a serious limitation.
The F-150 Lightning, however, with 9.6kW of available power thanks to Pro Power Onboard, can charge multiple batteries not only at the same time, but right in the truck while Rastelli is driving! It allowed him to expand his business, which was no longer limited by the location of the charging hub, and the instant battery availability has allowed him to make more efficient swaps and cut the scooter downtime to almost nothing.
“It became immediately clear to me that the F-150 Lightning could boost my business productivity as a mobile battery charging station through the use of Pro Power Onboard. Thanks in part to these trucks, I’ve been able to double the number of e-Scooters on my fleet, with near-zero downtime related to charging, making my business twice as efficient.
