The upcoming total solar eclipse in the Austin, Texas, area on April 8th is expected to draw huge crowds of people, with hotel rooms in the vicinity already nearly fully reserved. In response to this rush, Ford is giving Bronco enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view this celestial event!
The location of the Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas' Hill Country will be one of the greatest viewing locations in the nation, according to USA Today. During the event, a total solar eclipse can be seen over a wide area. The region for this particular eclipse extends from central Mexico to eastern Canada in a band about 115 miles wide. Outside of this area, the eclipse may still be visible, although as a partial eclipse instead of a total one. Depending on your location along its path, the eclipse's duration will vary. The Bronco Off-Roadeo location in Texas will witness one of the longest eclipse periods in the United States, lasting more than four minutes. Attending owners of Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles will be at a prime location to watch.
“94 percent of people who attend Bronco Off-Roadeo give it a 5-star review, according to our surveys. Now we’re offering Bronco and Bronco Sport customers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that adds another star to the mix,” said Matt Simpson, general manager, Ford Enthusiast Vehicles.
The Texas Bronco Off-Roadeo is an unforgettable event, even without an eclipse! This one-day course, which includes trails to explore, knowledgeable trail guides to offer instruction, and an engaging day of adventure that teaches drivers how to get the most out of their Bronco vehicle, is included with all purchases of Bronco, Bronco Sport, and Bronco Raptor vehicles. A four-hour paid off-road quest with trail guide instruction is also available to non-Bronco owners. The program has locations in Moab, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada, and New Hampshire, and is accessible to people of all skill levels.
Bronco Nation is where owners of Broncos can sign up to attend the eclipse event, choosing between a two-night camping reservation or a day pass. Five meals are included in the $1,995 two-night camping experience. Due to the limited number, reservations are first come, first served. The day before and the day of the eclipse, campers can avoid the intense traffic expected to be generated by tourists visiting for the eclipse. Camping guests are responsible for providing their own camping gear and sleeping arrangements. Day-of reservations are also available for up to four individuals for $595 per vehicle, with two meals included.
Guests at the Bronco Off-Roadeo solar eclipse viewing party will also get the chance to see the introduction of the all-new Bronco Raptor Blackout Package following the eclipse!
