According to industry experts, one of the major factors for the Ford’s success was the all-new and re-structured Ford F-150, coming with a superlight structure and an aluminium body. 

While the Ford is one of the most iconic home-spun companies in the US, its roots go much deeper into the very culture and economy of the country. Here are some little known facts about Ford that makes it such a fascinating and well-beloved company! And a company that never took a bailout!

Earlier this month, The Ford Motor Company had officially announced that it will launch its revolutionary membership-based ?FordPass? program, in April 2016, for free! That’s right the company has said that the program will be free, not just for Ford owners & drivers, but non-Ford vehicles as well. And unlike the Affordable Care Act, the FordPass program will not raise your taxes, health care insurance, nor take you away from your doctor. Awesome right!

The new roadmap released by California Regulators is raising hopes among the technophiles across the country. The roadmap bears routes that will allow consumers to be chauffeured around town by self-driving cars. The only constraint is that the manufacturers have to prove the safety and road-readiness of the emerging technology before the permit is released. 

The current Focus RS may be expensive but if you choose to go with some of its classic ancestors instead, you could save some money or end up spending a lot more depending on which one you choose.

The Ford EcoSport is a car which had had a rough time in the auto market. For starters, it received the poorest reviews that any Ford model has received in a long time. But Ford is now ready to give this car a transformation which is going to help change its fortunes. 

Ford Motor accounts for around 6% of the $2.3 trillion related to the sale, repair, and financing of cars. But they are now eyeing an even larger market, the $5.4 trillion car sharing and ride hailing market which includes companies like Zipcar and Uber. These markets aren't related with conventional car ownership.

Ford recently gave a detailed tour of their Dearborn Truck Plant at a commercial event. This is the plant where quite a few Ford F-150's are built. The plant specializes in the SuperCab and the SuperCrew.
